Sheila Cahill – Senior Associate
Sheila has worked in the voluntary and community sector in the UK and Ireland for over twenty years, primarily in the fields of social justice, health and disability before specialising in training.
As Director of the Training and Support Services at the Carmichael Centre for Voluntary Organisations she devised and directed the Stronger Leaders programme, the first leadership development programme specifically designed for the community and voluntary sector in Ireland.
She now specialises in governance training, working with boards and CEOs to ensure effective leadership, accountability and performance. She also facilitates strategic planning processes, conducts evaluations and works with organisations to develop appropriate monitoring and evaluation systems. Since 2008, her clients have included Ballymun Community Law Centre, Post Polio Support Group, Heart Children Ireland, Mid Offaly Housing Association, Blanchardstown Area Partnership, Fingal County Council, Migraine Association of Ireland, COPE Galway, Cherry Orchard Regeneration Board, Clúid Housing Asociation and Cork Film Festival.
Sheila is currently serving on the board of the Blue Box Creative Learning Centre in Limerick.
